Major League Fishing (MLF), entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with SA BASS to sanction MLF bass-fishing tournaments in Southern Africa.
MLF South Africa offers opportunities to local fishing enthusiasts that they have never experienced before.
After every season four anglers will represent MLF South Africa officially on international level at the MLF Series Championship in the USA and compete against the top international anglers from the USA, Canada, China, Italy, Mexico, Namibia, Portugal, Spain, South Korea, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
Here is an opportunity to officially represent South Africa at an International Championship within one season.

2018 FLW RSA representatives: Neels Beneke, Robbie Olivier*, Shaun John, Peet vd Schyff, Hendrik Brand, Juan du Toit and Vicus Horn
2019 FLW RSA representatives: Pieter Khourie, August Lingnau, Gregory Schluep, Giulio Nolli, Chris Greenland, Vaughn Kendall, Tom Berrington and Johan Joubert.
2020 Because of COVID-19 South Africa was prevented to compete in the USA due tot travel restrictions imposed by the US government
2022 MLF RSA representatives: Pieter Khourie, Shaun John, André Pretorius and Nigel Potgieter.
*South Africa’s Michael Matthee was the highest finishing International Division pro at the 2017 Costa FLW Series Championship and competed at the 2018 Forrest Wood Cup on Lake Ouachita in Hot Springs, Ark. Matthee is also the first International Division pro to finish in the top 10 at the Costa FLW Series Championship. He finished ninth.
*Robbie Olivier finished first in the International Co-angler Division at the Costa FLW Series Championship in 2018.
FLW South Africa took first place in 2017 and 2018 in the International Friendship Tournament during the Costa FLW Series Championship.
In 2019 there was a tie between FLW South Africa and FLW China. RSA had two fish and China three.
